Code of Conduct

The University of Delaware Press operates in accordance with a code of conduct in which staff, editorial board members, authors, reviewers, publishing partners, and vendors can carry out our work in a safe professional environment, characterized by mutual respect and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and collaboration. We expect our staff and board members to conduct themselves accordingly, and seek to work with those who share this commitment.

The press will not tolerate racism, or any forms of abuse, discrimination, or harassment as outlined in the university’s Non-Discrimination, Sexual Misconduct & Title IX Policy, or illegal or unethical professional conduct. In crafting and enforcing this code, we aim to create a culture that best supports the publishing excellence that is core to the press’s mission.

If you believe that this code of conduct has been violated, please contact University of Delaware Press Director Julia Oestreich at joestrei@udel.edu or 302-831-1149. Reports may be made anonymously. The press will take any remedial actions necessary, and will terminate working relationships we believe violate or threaten our ability to carry out this code.
